The terrain workbench

Paths, ponds & little corners

The same painted ground, connected into a place Bogs could explore.

An art assembly, not a playable room. This kit connects grass to worn earth and grass to shallow water. Cliffs, path-to-water joins, three-way material junctions and water animation are still missing.

Existing Bogs, trees and bridge are unchanged scale references. The artwork does not establish where a player may walk or swim.

How the pieces meet

Each corner has a shared grass-or-foreground value. That gives sixteen edge/corner cases. Opposite foreground corners stay separate; the kit never invents a one-pixel crossing. The original textures keep their alternating mirror orientation across the whole world.

Six material channels need two aligned RGB maps: grass in the first, path or water in the second. All weights are blended in one pass; materials remain independently editable. Original preserves the composited art exactly.

The rounded boundaries are coverage masks over existing paintings, not newly generated illustrations. Repeating grass and water motifs are still visible, especially in broad fields. The flat shore has no extra foam, bank shadow or illustrated cliff edge.
